I was informed in a not so subtle manner that I don't update this blog enough. I can say 1) I will try to do better and 2) Sorry, my/our life is not that exciting or at least I don't think shopping trips to Target and then watching football all day is note worthy. But at any rate, I will try to do better to update more on the kids. I am not crazy enough to think that anyone reads this because they are interested in Bruce and I -- you're all in it for the kids-- we know that :)

We had the pleasure of having Grandma and Papa Kehrt here last week to play with the kids. Emerson was very excited to be able to spend time with them. We did take her to daycare one morning to get her friends fix but she had Grandma and Papa's attention for the majority of the week which was perfect for her. I could not keep Papa from getting bored- I think his A.D.D. kicked in by Wednesday and I couldn't give Grandma enough to do either... I think they got pretty bored. But I don't think they realized how helpful they really were. Grandma took the 6am Isaac feeding every day which allowed Mommy to sleep in-- that extra sleep is priceless!!

Isaac is changing FAST!! When he was born, he looked just like Emerson, but now he looks nothing like her. I can't really look at him and say "you look like..." but I do think his looks favor my side of the family-- The Thompson side if I had to narrow. His eyes are a little lighter blue this week but I don't think they will stay blue. I do think they will turn Brown in the end to match Sister and Daddy's. He is more awake this week and getting more aware of his surroundings. He does great at night usually sleeping 3-4 hours at a time...so far our luck continues...for now....

We had the Kehrt family Christmas this weekend and everyone was able to make it. This was very important to me because my nephew Josh will be leaving to work in Brazil for 2 years in the next couple of months. I am so excited for him to have this opportunity but will miss him very much. It is hard to believe that Isaac will be Emerson's age when he moves back!!
