The kids have had a rough couple of weeks. Emerson got sick with a fever we were unable to keep down. We thought we had it beat but didn't so after a trip to the ER we found out she had a virus and bronchitis. She is on the mend and the cough is getting better. Since she is such a loving and sharing big sister, Isaac also came down with a cough. No fever for him which is good but A LOT of projectile vomiting and some constipation! His distance with vomit is quite impressive!! There were a few trips to the Dr's office and several loads of laundry. We even had one day that I couldn't leave the house because ALL of my pants were in the wash from the day before!! Somehow through it all he has continued to gain weight which is good. The vomiting episodes are reducing so I think he is on the mend now.
Bruce was ecstatic about the beating that K State gave Kansas just hours after receiving their #1 ranking in basketball. Today we are hoping ISU can pull out a win against Mizzou and Kstate can get another good win against Oklahoma. Emerson is all about ISU and KSU winning their games but thanks to Uncle Mike's fiance, Angela, has formed an affection for Notre Dame too! Its a good thing Mommy and Daddy like the Irish too or that would be a hard habit to break. Emerson is working on quitting her thumb sucking habit- which is not as easy as we or she would like it to be. Isaac is getting more alert everyday. He is sleeping well at night getting up usually once during the night and then again early morning. We are lucky there again (for now:). He did keep Mommy and Daddy up a lot last night and apparently thought it was pretty funny. He vomited all over Daddy, smiled, and laughed the rest of the night!
