The Oberle Telegraph: Leg 1 & 2 of Tour De Midwest!

The Oberle family has been on the go for the last couple of weeks and we aren't done yet!
Leg #1--Easter-

Easter weekend was spent in Claflin with the Oberle side. Almost everyone was able to make it and it was a lot of fun! The kids had a blast coloring Easter eggs, playing with each other, and Doing the annual Easter Egg hunt. Emerson had several cousins assist her in coloring eggs and hunting for Eggs. She also finally got to meet Great Grandma Oberle too! It was a great weekend and we had a lot of fun.

LEG #2- Jimmy Buffett Concert, Dallas TX

This guy holds an AWESOME concert!

Even though we are parents now, every married couple needs to have something that is just theirs. A Jimmy Buffett concert is our thing. Bruce has been to 6 Buffett concerts and This was my second. It is some of the best fun we have ever had! Our trip started on Thursday night as we grabbed Mike Wondra and headed to Claflin. Grandma and Grandpa Oberle babysat Emerson for the weekend. Emerson LOVES her Grandparents (ALL of them) and they were excited to see her too. Friday morning we loaded up again and took off to Wichita to pick up the rest of the crew and head to Dallas. Our party consisted of 3 RV's and our Murano. The trek too longer than it should have but we got to the camp site around 10pm on Friday night. Saturday morning, it was shower and off to the concert.

The weather cleared half way through the day and it turned out to be very nice for the tailgating and the concert. We met a lot of cool people in the parking lot and even tailgated next to another group of parrot heads from Kansas. Jimmy was awesome as usual! We all had a blast! Sunday morning we left the concert grounds and made the trip back home. After 13 hours of driving...it was time to be home. Since Bruce and I don't drink much any more it was somewhat painful Sunday morning, but well worth the fun!
