Leg #3- Sioux City, IA & March for Babies!

The last leg of our Tour De Midwest landed in Sioux City, IA for my niece's wedding shower. Last weekend we headed up there to see my side of the family and attend the shower. Emerson of course was very excited to see her Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Chad, Aunt Rox, and cousins! I think they were equally excited to see her! We had a wonderful time and the shower was very nice. Jill got a lot of nice things and we are getting very excited for her and Nick's wedding in July! Hanging out with Uncle Chad!!!

I love my Grandma Kehrt!

This weekend we did the March for Babies. It is not a very long walk as it was only 1 mile long but there were a couple of thousand people there. It was awesome to see all of the people there supporting the cause. Although at the same time very sad to see all the t-shirts that were made in memory of preterm babies that lost their fight. I was able to raise almost $400 for my walk and Bruce and Emerson walked with me for the cause. My "un"shameless plug is that the March of Dimes is a great organization that works for the good of babies that need our help. Being a pre-term baby myself (although I am not sure my parents received help from the March of Dimes) hope that they are able to some day reach the goal of all babies being born full term and healthy... one of the signs that were posted on the streets....got to me and will forever stay with me.

" Imagine....getting ecstatic about your baby reaching 4 pounds, or 3 pounds, or 2...."

Never too young to help another!
